Hoover F5411 Steamvac Jr.

No assembly is necessary to put this compact, lightweight vacuum to work washing spills and soil out of carpets and upholstery. Using a combination of hot tap water and cleaning solution applied with a finger trigger, the vacuum washes fibers and then sucks up the dirty water and transports it to a second tank. (Both clean- and dirty-water tanks are transparent for water-level monitoring.) Weighing just 9 pounds, the 480-watt vacuum has an easy-access on/off switch on the handle and empties with one hand through a spout. It's 12 inches in diameter and 13 inches high. The hose is 5 feet long and the cord 12 feet, and, for storage, the hose wraps around the bottom and the cord around the top. Accompanying the vacuum is an 8-ounce bottle of detergent. --Fred Brack

Does the job pretty well!

I inadvertently left a can of soda inside my car one summer afternoon and the can burst - spilling soda in my seats, doors and ceiling. There were disgusting blotches everywhere.

I thought of just getting this steamvac instead of having my car professionally serviced. Not so bad news is that it doesn't really give you steam but warm water, the vacuum hose head attachment was difficult to get in some spots; and when i was cleaning the ceiling, water escaped where the head attachment snaps to the hose - fit wasn't air tight; some water dripped onto my arms and seats. Great news is that it was able to do the job very well - suction was fairly strong which enabled the upholstery to dry faster. I used up all the cleaning solution included in the box.

I would have given this vac a 5 if it had not been for the water dripping onto my arms but when used normally (not over your head), it does a great job. I definitely recommend this product.

AWESOME LITTLE CLEANER

I read the online reviews and thought I would give it a try. We have a new puppy and I needed something portable, easy to fill and empty, that cleaned well. This cleaner really does it. it has saved my carpet so far.

good steamer !

I really love this steamer ! Not only is it compact and easy to carry, it removes set in carpet stains! I have to admit it had been a WHILE since I steam cleaned my carpets, but this machine got up tons of dirt. Caution, you MAY learn what a filthy human being you are after you use this machine. I was so glad I was alone while i used this, my carpets were DISGUSTING! I only have two minor complaints about this machine. You have to hold the on/off button down continuously with your finger while using it. Also the steamer head opening is really small and can become clogged easily with crap. Good buy for the money ! Definitely recommend!

George Foreman Grill was great!!!

It was exactly what I expected and ready to use right out of the box. The recipe book is fantastic and I use it practically every day. A must buy for those who choose to eat more healthy.

easy to use, difficult to clean

this is a nice little grill. heats up fast & cooks evenly. but the cleanup is a real pain in the neck, or maybe i haven't figured out the best method yet. in any case, i wish i had known that before i bought it.

Best griller out there

This is so easy to use, and really does drain off the fat very well. It is also compact, and cleans easily too. I highly recommend it!

great for the occassional baker

If you're like me and only bake occassionally, get this mixer instead of the expensive stand. I've made brownies, cakes and cookies all with simple ease.
This is also a great starter product and great way to tell if you're ready for the $150 upgrade to the stand.
I actually bought the 7-spd, but feel you don't really need the extra two speeds. Either one, it's a great light weight tool, which says a lot being one with whimpy arms.

It has easy to clean beaters and the shell just takes a few wipes to clean as well.

Point of Clarification...

The mixer reviewed by Cook's Illustrated, (See 'Oh My Gosh' below.) was the 7-speed KHM7T and did receive the highest marks (and also was the most expensive). This mixer was not reviewed.

NOT made in USA as Tech Data says

I'm not happy. The Amazon "Technical Data" section currently states "Country of manufacture: USA" but on the box it says "Made in China"! I go out of my way to purchase items that are made in the USA and to avoid things that are made in China. It is important to me. It's hard enough to find things (in many categories) that are are not made in China. I definitely don't appreciate being misled. Come on Amazon!

Now ... regarding the mixer itself ... we just received it and have only used it once so it's a bit early to give it a meaningful rating. However, we definitely noticed two points that many others have mentioned. It is very quiet but it is not as fast as many other mixers. My wife doesn't seem too concerned about the speed so I guess it's not a major issue but definitely noticable.

Great griller and griddle!

This worked so well for us that I got one for my Mom and Dad. It is the best griddle I've ever used for pancakes. The grill works well, though as it is not tilted, not as much grease runs off. Even with this it does a great job on steaks, pork chops, chicken and fish. The ease of cleaning more than makes up for the lack of the tilt.

cuisinart Gr -4 Griddler

Just used my new griddler along side my Delonghi open indoor grill to grill several lbs of chicken breasts. I found that the griddler did not have the high heat of the delonghi and that if I closed the top to do both sides atonce it dried out the chicken. I did not try out the griddle side nor did I do a panini, which iI think might work OK. It did clean up quite quickly BUT... The plastic composite handle cracked where it screws into the metal arm lift.

Griddler is Supreme!
