  • Customer Review:
    Removable grill plates are great!

The only disappointment I had when I received this grill was that it was smaller than I expected. I can't cook as many chicken breasts (2 or 3 compared to 5 or 6) on it as I could on my George Foreman jumbo size grill (which was hard to clean and the teflon was coming off). But it's nice being able to take off the plates and wash them completely.
    As Promised

The removable plates make it much easier to clean. I found this item for 59.95 plus tax at Target, so this item, with free shipping is a major bargin. Make sure you follow the directions and don't overcook and everything comes out great.
    A Knock Out

We have used the small George Foreman grill for years. This one is larger and so much easier to clean. Cooks great like the smaller one.

Circulon Classic 5-Quart Pasta Pot with Straining Lid
A clever two-in-one idea, this Circulon Classic 5-quart pasta pot comes with its own built-in colander in the lid. When pasta is finished, you simply tilt the pot and drain to either side. The pot also comes in handy for boiling or parboiling potatoes and carrots. Constructed from hard-anodized aluminum, the pot is twice as hard as stainless steel and built to conduct quickly and even. The interior, outfitted with Circulon's signature Hi-Low grooves and Dupont Autograph nonstick coating, ensures easy food release and clean-up. The grooves are designed to protect the nonstick coating and keep food from sticking. Domed for maximum capacity, the 18/10 stainless-steel lid fits securely and has a gleaming mirror finish. The non-slip phenolic loop handles on the sides and lid are permanently riveted, heat-resistant on the stovetop, and oven-safe to 350 degrees F. Notable for its balance, the pot is pleasantly weighty without being too heavy to handle. Washing by hand is recommended for the best results. --Emily Bedard

Great size, not goo big, not too small. GREAT POT!!!

I really LOVE this pot. It's such a great size for my family of 4 (2 adults + 2 kids under 5yrs). It sits PERFECT on the back burners. (after the kids, I only cook on the back burners, just in case. :) I love the fact the lid locks into the pot. I received the pot for about 10 days now, and I have been using it almost everyday! I even used it as a wok to cook Chinese stir fry, and no problem at all! I purchased the pot when it was on sale at Amazon.com for under $22, so I know I got a GREAT DEAL.
    Another 5 star review

After reading the other reviews on this pot, I found a cheaper price and bought it at Linen's and Things with 20% off coupon. I have only good things to say-it is well made, cleans up easily, locking lid works well, and it is so nice not having to use a separate colander! I use it at least two times a week. This would make a great gift as it is *much* nicer than the cheapie pasta pots that were all the rage a couple of years ago.
    Great Pot

I recently bought this pot and am in love. The straining feature is so convenient. No more carrying hot pots and draining in colanders. Food cooks evenly and cleans up easily. The locking lid allows you to serve food at the table and even store things in the fridge. I highly recommend this pot.

Presto 04821 Orville Redenbacher Hot Air Corn Popper
Plug in the Orville Redenbacher Hot Air Corn Popper and the party begins. In less than 2-1/2 minutes you’ll have up to 18 cups--two large bowlfuls--of fluffy popcorn with virtually no unpopped kernels. And because the machine uses hot air instead of oil, the resulting snack is healthier and lower in calories. That’s not to say you can’t add butter; in fact, the 1/2-cup measuring cup on top of the popper doubles as a butter melter. Simply put in the desired amount of margarine or butter (room temperature is best), and it melts from the heat produced during the popping process. The clear plastic cover and cup, which must stay on during popping so the popped corn doesn’t fly all over the room, easily remove for hand cleaning with warm, soapy water. No other clean-up is required. While a few unpopped kernels spring out the chute as the machine begins to heats up, the chute does a good job of directing the popped corn into a bowl. The popper measures 14 by 9 by 6-1/2 inches, and is identical to Presto’s PopLite Hot Air Corn Popper except for color and logo. Presto covers the popper with a two-year warranty. --Ann Bieri

    Pops quickly and well

I replaced my airpop popper of 14(!) years with the Orville Redenbacher Hot Air Corn Popper. I have had it only one month but I find it pops popcorn quickly (quicker than my former one which I loved) and the popcorn tastes great.
    Dangerous to use, poorly designed.

Why on earth is there no on/off switch on this thing? You turn it on and off by pulling the ungrounded plug out of the outlet.

In my case, it came with sparks and flames.
I'm throwing this thing out and using a pot with oil on the stovetop from now on. This product is poorly designed and actually dangerous to use...I can't believe all the rave reviews, but maybe they just like to live dangerously.
Make a snack that's quick, healthy, tasty and CHEAP!

In an attempt to eat healthier, we're trying to give up trans-fats at our house. Microwave popcorn is loaded with these things. But the air popped corn is great - tasty, fast, and since I add my own butter or healthier toppings, I control what's in my popcorn. My kids love watching it. What really surprised me was how inexpensive a bag of popcorn kernels was - so much less than microwave popcorn! And this takes no more time. I love our hot air popcorn popper - we don't have family movie night without it!

  • Customer Review:
    great for the occassional baker

If you're like me and only bake occassionally, get this mixer instead of the expensive stand. I've made brownies, cakes and cookies all with simple ease.
This is also a great starter product and great way to tell if you're ready for the $150 upgrade to the stand.
I actually bought the 7-spd, but feel you don't really need the extra two speeds. Either one, it's a great light weight tool, which says a lot being one with whimpy arms.

It has easy to clean beaters and the shell just takes a few wipes to clean as well.
    Point of Clarification...

The mixer reviewed by Cook's Illustrated, (See 'Oh My Gosh' below.) was the 7-speed KHM7T and did receive the highest marks (and also was the most expensive). This mixer was not reviewed.
NOT made in USA as Tech Data says

I'm not happy. The Amazon "Technical Data" section currently states "Country of manufacture: USA" but on the box it says "Made in China"! I go out of my way to purchase items that are made in the USA and to avoid things that are made in China. It is important to me. It's hard enough to find things (in many categories) that are are not made in China. I definitely don't appreciate being misled. Come on Amazon!
    -----------------------
Now ... regarding the mixer itself ... we just received it and have only used it once so it's a bit early to give it a meaningful rating. However, we definitely noticed two points that many others have mentioned. It is very quiet but it is not as fast as many other mixers. My wife doesn't seem too concerned about the speed so I guess it's not a major issue but definitely noticable.
